New FedEx requirements
Good morning, afternoon, or night!
If you are in the market for a FedEx operation, it’s crucial to be aware of some changes that could impact the timeline of your deal. New FedEx candidates are now required to attend a 1-week-long class before their stand-up date. This week-long course is offered several times a month at various locations. The managers can provide you with the schedule. This could add a few weeks to the closing process.
FedEx TSP has new safety technology requirements and a model year limit effective August 30, 2025. Beginning at the end of the month, all tractors newly added to the schedule B of the Agreement must include the following:
- VEDR (Video Event Data Recorder)
- GPS
- FCAM (Forward Collision Avoidance and Mitigation) with integrated radar and camera
- Blind Spot Detection & Lane Keep Assist are the newest requirements.
Starting July 31, 2026, all tractors on line haul must be within a 10-year model limit to remain eligible under schedule B.
